Introducing NoTree , World Centric’s first fully compostable soup bowls made from tree-free paper.

The use of paper from agricultural waste fiber helps protect our fast-dwindling forests, as well as supports wildlife and indigenous cultures whose lives are dependent on forests.

NoTree Paper soup bowls compost within 2-4 months in a commercial composting facility. They come in a natural tan color, which avoids bleaching in manufacturing that can potentially harm the environment.

NoTree soup bowls pair perfectly with our family of compostable, heat-resistant lids. Made from plant-based plastic, not petroleum, our lids will compost in 2-4 months in a commercial composting facility.

100% Biodegradable, 100% Compostable.  Made from Recycled Paper with a PLA Lining.

World Centric biodegradable and compostable Tree Free soup bowls are lined with NatureWorks Ingeo™ polylactic acid (PLA), which is derived from plants grown in the USA. Most cups you'll find on the market are lined with polyethylene and won't compost. Our bowls work perfect for hot foods up to 200 degrees F.

Cafes, restaurants and cafeterias require paper products for their look, printability and general customer acceptance. Technologically, it's very hard to make something similar to paper cups from alternative fibers. We are still researching to see if paper cups and bowls can be made from a mix of alternative fibers, recycled fibers and sustainably managed wood fibers to create a more sustainable product.

Instead of using petroleum based plastics which create toxicity and environmental pollution, you can now use our compostable alternatives.

Q:  What is PLA?
A:  Polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch (in the U.S.) or sugarcanes (rest of world). Although PLAhas been known for more than a century, it has only been of commercial interest in recent years, in light of its biodegradability.

These products are BPI (Biodegradables Product Institute) Certified.
Please note, composting is required for biodegradation. These compostable bowls will biodegrade within 180 days in a commercial composting facility, but can take up to a year or more to biodegrade in a home composting system.
