Most cups you'll find on the market are lined with polyethylene and won't compost. Our bowls work perfect for hot foods up to 200 degrees F.

The use of paper from agricultural waste fiber helps protect our fast-dwindling forests, as well as supports wildlife and indigenous cultures whose lives are dependent on forests.
NoTree Paper soup bowls compost within 2-4 months in a commercial composting facility. They come in a natural tan color, which avoids bleaching in manufacturing that can potentially harm the environment.
NoTree soup bowls pair perfectly with our family of compostable, heat-resistant lids. Made from plant-based plastic, not petroleum, our lids will compost in 2-4 months in a commercial composting facility.
Q: What is PLA?
A: Polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch (in the U.S.) or sugarcanes (rest of world). Although PLA has been known for more than a century, it has only been of commercial interest in recent years, in light of its biodegradability.
These products are BPI (Biodegradables Product Institute) Certified.
Please note, composting is required for biodegradation. These compostable bowls will biodegrade within 180 days in a commercial composting facility, but can take up to a year or more to biodegrade in a home composting system.
